Meteor Strike on Mt. Wilson
A meteor explodes over Mt. Wilson in Red Rock Canyon Natrional Conservation Area outside of Las Vegas Nevada. Mt Wilson along with the other cliffs of the park are Aztec Sandstone formed from the same sand erg that covered much of what is now the western United States about 190 million years ago. This same field of sand sunes formed what is now the Navajo Sandstone on the Colorado Plateau.
